Soulja Boy; True Voice of a Generation

With his insightful, emotionally driven lyrics and culturally innovative beats (such as the Crank That hit of 2007), Soulja Boy Tell 'em is by far one of the most talented artitsts played on the radio today.

His lyrics deal with issues many of todays youth generation can relate to. The pride in showing off ones accumulated wealth during times of economic difficulty, employment and enthusiasm for work, instructions for performing innovative dance forms ("do that Soulja Boy, then Superman that ohhh!"), and philantropical desire to see those within the community do well (through his financial assistance; "I put my team on, now my whole click stunny") are all remarkable achievements for one so young, and a soldier.

Many do not know it, but Soulja Boy enlisted in the U.S. Army on his 18th birthday and has served 4 tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, respectively. He has killed over 2,500 Insurgents, with an astounding ZERO civilians caught in the crossfire. Imprisoned twice (and both times escaping in a "Rambo"-esqe fashion), Soulja Boy know what it means to face death heroically. Yet he maintains humble dignity, since he chooses not to discuss these brave within his deep poetic verses. Yet he has mentioned that his weapon of choice in Iraq was "his bare hands."

To every young person in the world, Soulja Boy is an inspiration. The people of College Park, Maryland should be proud to have him as a resident, and the nation is proud to have such a talented individual as our voice of the next generation.
